Resin bound stone surfaces need to be installed up against a hard edge in order to ensure a tight long-lasting finish.
A wide range of edges can be used for resin. Take for example the discrete pin kerb. It is at the more anonymous end of the scale and often used to create a barrier between, for example, neighbouring properties or where a newly laid resin driveway meets an adjacent public path. Contrast this with elaborate designs and patterns that can be made from natural cobbles and manufactured paving blocks in an inexhaustible choice of colours, shapes, sizes and textures.
Trending now… grey continues to be popular as a choice for all aspects of domestic design and we have expanded our pallet of greys to reflect this direction – our installation teams have a large portfolio of resin colours at their disposal and we work with clients to find a composition that produces the perfect balance.
For borders, classic favourites include Granite Setts – available in different finishes, such as “cropped natural split” with a craggy appearance; “tumbled”, a softer look with rounded edges or “finished” with a smooth surface. Light-, medium-, dark- grey and black are favourites.
If you want to create a contrasting resin border, this can easily be achieved by installing a dividing aluminium strip and using a different coloured resin around the perimeter of the surface. More adventurous clients have also opted for a design to be embedded in their driveway – follow this link for examples xxx. We can take any idea you have and adapt it for use in resin bound stone, then have it installed in the colours of your choice
