This project consisted of a 900sqm factory floor that was completed using a High Build Polyurethane Coating.
The previous flooring had been repaired on numerous occasions which led to various layers of different coatings being applied to it – as a result, it was in extremely poor condition.
In order to properly remedy the surface, it had to be prepared via diamond grinding and patch repairs using a high strength epoxy mortar. After a complete vacuuming of the dust, the surface was primed. Once this had been completed, any small blemishes were re-ground and repaired following which, a final coat of the High Build Polyurethane Coating was applied in conjunction with an anti-slip aggregate.
Polyurethane coatings are ideal for these types of projects since they have a life expectancy of well over 10 years. As with most products, the preparation is the key for an amazing, long lasting result.
